There's no story behind this? I thought there was always a uncle, best friend, inheritance, or business associate involved.

As a general rule, I don't buy watches whose sellers stage pictures while wearing their pajamas. Nothing against lounging, but it's served me well.

A lot more trolls here nowadays. Also a huge number of time wasters showing interest in watches for sale by PM, asking loads of questions and taking up a lot of time and then the trail goes cold and they don't even have the courtesy to drop you a quick line saying they are passing. Very annoying.

I won't even wear that for free. Outright fake watches like these are demeaning and garbage IMHO.

Probably some people have way too much time on their hands.

That's true when come to selling watches which is something I hate to do. A lot of enquries but quite a number are simply not firm or just asking for information.

Got one buyer recently who was so rude that he was demanding to "see my watch first and then he will decide on the discount that I should give so that he is willing to buy". I told him to go fly kite in a polite manner.

Selling to dealers save us the hassle but they often low ball too much.

How much is the seller asking?

To the OP:
You already managed to find this forum. This forum is full of helpful information. A little bit of time researching this forum and you would have had a pretty good idea if what you have is fake or not so clearly your model is very rare.

The best thing to do:

I recommend to send the watch to Patek in Geneva.
Ask them for an extract of the archives and ask them to restore the watch.

Be sure to include your and the sellers full address, a copy of your passport and any other information about yourself and the seller and where and how you got this watch.

I am sure Patek will highly appreciate having such a unique piece back in their headquarters!
