GMT BLNR (Batman) Availability in Las Vegas

I was in Vegas this past weekend and decided to explore the Rolex Boutique at the Wynn Hotel.

I am interested in the BLNR but never have seen one in person nor had the chance to try one on.

The Rolex boutique did not have one on display but the manager was kind enough to let me try on his. (Picture attached)

As for ordering one, they would asked for a full payment up front and it would come to your doorstep or hotel in 2 weeks time. Not a bad waiting time. But make no mistake you will not be getting any discount here.

No doubt a gorgeous watch.

I have ordered mine on the 3rd, they called me to let me know that it's waiting for me on the 14th. I picked it up on the 21st - I couldn't make it to the store sooner.

I have it on my arm since then and still find myself occasionally gazing at it in astonishment...

Do they charge sales tax if they ship it out of state?

No they do not if there is no Rolex boutique in that state. For instance in Texas there is no actual Rolex-owned boutique so there will not be sales tax.

Sadly no. I just bought a Cellini Date a month ago. Too soon for another. Also I am waiting to see what Basel World has to offer.

There are a bunch of these available at ADs across America, a few even willing to play ball in terms of pricing. If you are seriously looking to buy one, it is worth it to call around

There should be some unsold/not reserved specimens somewhere/somehow. Question is how to find them?
Back in December when I decided to pull the trigger I was looking frantically in every AD in Chicago area. Only one said he might be able to provide one if a customer does come to pick it up... It might have been bs for all I know.
I happened to be in Indianapolis and at Reis-Nichols they could not even come with an estimated delivery date. They almost said this watch is made out of unbtainium and they have a bunch of loyal customers waiting in line for it...

I've noticed the UK market is crazy like that. No idea why.

There was one at my local AD where I purchased my Hulk this past weekend. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM and I can provide the contact info. They also gave me a little discount on my Hulk, so there may be some room to negotiate.

Every AD here in the DC area has a D-Blue sitting in the display, and Subs and Sea-Dwellers too, of course.

BLNR goes pretty quickly. Daytona 116500... impossible.

You've got no idea why? Really?

Well pre-increase (3-4 months ago) a BLNR was (full price) equivalent to $7200
With increase its around $8,000.

Prices are the cheapest in the world and as a result availability is scarce. As for discounts on steel models? Pretty much forget it, as in their mind you're lucky to get it.

It's Vegas. That's expected.

As others have said, various ADs around the US have it in-stock. Call around to your local ADs.

Most of the time Vegas ADs can offer a high quality winder + misc goodies. Sometimes those are much better than a monetary discount, so you could give that a shot. Your BLNR purchase fits this perfectly as no discount on a $25k+ PM has a higher dollar impact, but $9K is just a grand or so you're trading for merchandise.

Also tax free if you have them ship back home.

Maybe things are different in Las Vegas than years ago, but it always seemed to me that the shops inside a casino/hotel hit you for full-on retail and then some. They wanted you to gamble, not shop.

I was at South Coast Plaza (orange county, CA) over the weekend and checked out the Rolex store. They happened to have one in stock too and the lady kept telling me to try it out. Good thing I'm strong on impulse decisions (sorta)... :P

As of 4:00 p.m. there is one sitting at Simons in St. Louis, MO. But, they apparently will not ship new Rolex stock, in person purchase required.

It's a beautiful watch. My AD called me a couple of weeks ago and even offered a small discount but I didn't pull the trigger.
