L.A. Area Discounting AD

Hello all. I just posted in the welcome section as a collector of many years, but not a member of TRF until now.

Does anyone know of Los Angeles ADs that might best discount an 116610LN?

...and if not, what is the best way to purchase it? Contact an AD in another state to save the tax and maybe get an additional discount? Any respectful thoughts are appreciated.

No AD will discount that piece in the LA area.

Sorry. I do not know of one.

But why would an AD in a big city, with lots of wealthy tourist traffic, discount one of the most basic (but extremely popular) luxury watches around when someone will pay full MSRP for it soon enough?

No direct knowledge, but I can't imagine a major metropilotan AD discounting one of the most popular models in the world. As Speed said, the next customer will happily pay full price.

I know an AD in Vegas that could probably give you a discount and/or ship it to you tax-free. PM me if interested.

Buy from a reputable seller here on this forum.

x2

I live in LA. After touring all the ADs and finding zero discount, I just bought a SubC from Takuya (trusted seller on this form). Saved a lot of money...

Are these reputable sellers ADs? I have bought a fair amount of pieces on the grey market and regretted doing so with none of them. However, I'm very much invested in getting the Rolex 5-year warranty that, I understand, has been recently foreclosed for sales from non-ADs. Am I incorrect and if so, why?

Just like cars, if you want good discounts you need to go to slower markets.

Thank you guys for the responses. Trigger pulled. LA AD discounted the tax and all is good.

Yes, you are incorrect on the 5 year warranty. Watches from people like Takuya or DAVIDSW all originate from ADs.
