When did hologram first appear on red seal hang tag?
Does someone know exactly when Rolex started to use the "hologram" that was affixed to the crown-side of the "Officially Certified Swiss Chronometer" red seal that came with new Rolex purchases. The hologram replaced the earlier "Crown" that was stamped into the seal. (See pictures of each below.)
I believe the change was made in the early '90s; however, seeking something more definitive year-wise. Thanks in advance for any replies.
