Considering OP 39 (114300)

I've been humming and haaing about this for quite some time. It's the only watch in Rolex's current lineup which I like enough to consider buying.
I'd like to ask any owners a couple of questions, please.

1. Does it have the new green tag +2/-2 accuracy?

2. Does it get worn often?

3. Thanks in advance.

Rolex extended -2/+2 to the entire lineup last year

Considering OP 39 (114300)

I picked one up a few weeks ago and wear it a couple times a week so far. I believe it has the new -2 +2. Mine has been dead on. I just did a power reserve "test" to see what it held and it went to 48 hours almost on the dot.
It wears very comfortably and is very legible. The green hour dots don't really stand out in person on the wrist. For the price it's a great pick up. Good luck!

I picked up the Red Grape (purple) and wear it pretty much daily. Love it and have received a few compliments. Green tag 5 year warranty.

I love mine and it certainly gets wrist time. I had the center links polished since I like the additional shine to match the bezel.

Since seeing this last week it's been in my head to do! Still not sure whether I need to keep fighting the idea or go for it

Since getting my blue YM I am warming to the rhodium dial and the OP is very appealing. Will see after Basel.

I love mine and wear it Monday to Friday but can be worn with almost anything save a t-shirt and athletic shorts.

Also on weekends I wear my speedy with jeans etc. The OP is so comfortable too, light, thin, and looks so good.

Here is mine. Looks a bit almost black but that is the light. It is a gorgeous blue.

PS: my JLC and Patek get no time at moment. The OP39 is just so right beyond the price point.
To think you could have almost 4 of these for the price of my one Patek. Talk about bang per buck!!
And it less than half the price of many other SS Rolex. Incredible.

OK, thanks guys.

I tried on a rhodium-grey OP 39 this afternoon. It's lovely and exudes a sense of quiet class. Having previously owned a steel/plat YM, I'm a bit doubtful about legibility with the grey dial. But it's a very cool watch.

I don't think the purple is for me, it's a very bold statement in comparison with the grey (at least in pics).

So that leaves the blue. AD says I can secure the next one into the shop with a deposit, but I'd really like to try it on before committing. Decisions...

I don't suppose there are any concessions on price with these?

I doubt in the UK, should PM Sam, sc11, he will know if you can over here.

1. Yes. My OP39 is usually dead on or +1 sec/day... -1 sec if I rest it crown up.
2. It gets reasonable wrist time. It's my favourite (and the most expensive) watch in the whole collection, but I try to give my other watches (particularly my Tudor BBN) some wrist time to even it out. I'd say I wear it after work and on most weekends.

You really can't go wrong with the OP39... it's such a versatile watch that can easily be a "one and only" watch.

Classic and classy. Love the brushed center links. I have a GMT Master with same band, and a GMTII with PCL - actually like the look of the Master more. I love the OP39.

My blue dialed 114300 is on my wrist all the time, it's very versatile. Mine gains about 1 sec per week. It's a great value and fun to wear. I'd say go for it! (Resale value is high if it doesn't work out)

Thanks guys/enablers!

I've put a deposit down, and an OP 39 with blue dial should be mine by this time next week. It's my second ever brand-new Rolex (I bought a 16610 new in 2001) and I'm really quite excited about it.

Thank you all. I haven't been this enthusiastic about a Rolex since the lug-holes on the 5-digits disappeared. That was the beginning. First, they came for our lug-holes, then they took our elegant cases away...<ahem>

This watch is, in my 'umble, the best-looking Rolex in current production, bar none. The fact that it's the cheapest men's-size watch as well is a bit of a bonus to say the least.

The grey is very classy, almost bland-looking at first, but a long gaze reveals otherwise. Very stealth. The red grape is nowhere near as lairy as I feared, and is a stunning thing and a fine choice. But the blue takes it for me. Those colours! Wow, just wow. The hour markers look either black or mirror-polished depending on the angle.

I'm very pleased, and the lovely ladies at the AD gave me 6% without me even asking. Pics at some point next week / ASAP (extremely hectic work-wise, so apologies in advance if there's an indecent delay).

The 114300 it's fantastic watch. A fine piece to anyone's collection, personally I'm in love with the red grape.

Congrats. I tried on the blue at the AD and I thought it was an absolute stunner. I know 36mm has kind of been the "standard" for that style of Rolex for decades, but I thought the proportions of the Oyster case works exceptionally well at that 39mm size.

The 114300 is my second favourite modern reference. I absolutely love it and would recommend it wholeheartedly. I may get it as my next one as well.

I really really like these new 39 mm OPs. I am thinking about getting one as my next pickup (either the blue or rhodium.) Very nice watch.
