Need Help With Used Prices.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some general information as to what to expect in the ball park of percentage wise I should be looking for a used DD 40?

I found one, less then a year old, in very good condition but I am not sure if the price is fair or not, I generally buy new and don't have an idea how much the used market goes for, but for a gold piece that is quite pricey I figure I would look into the used market to see if it was a big price difference vs new.

Check TRF classifieds, watchrecon and chrono24 for price comparisons.
Those should give you a good idea what that model(based on condition) sells for.
Enjoy the hunt

I been checking TRF but its mostly new, I may of miss some post though.
New for the DD40 anyway.

Is there a general rule of thumb how much percentage wise used watches go for gold models? Or is it specific to the watch and the demand? I am sure gold watches will drop a lot more then the Stainless Steel variants am I correct?

It amazes how differently, not better or worse, just different, that people think about things.

If I were thinking about buying a very expensive item and I wasn't an expert on the item, I wouldn't even consider buying used unless it was from someone I trusted very highly.

Perhaps, that's why the OP came here seeking opinions/advice.

Chrono24 will allow you to search for the exact model, year, condition, and location to dial in what others are listed for. Please bear in mind that watches are often sold for less, but it will give you a yardstick to measure by.

DavidSW has a couple used for sale

https://davidsw.com/product/rolex-22...th-motif-dial/

I'm sure he can find you the used model, with the dial you are looking for. Give him a call. If you are not familiar with him, his reputation is stellar amongst the TRF community. You can research him under the "Who's Who Forum"

Good luck on your quest

It depends if you want a pre-owned DD40 in YG, WG or RG.
The latter seems to be the more expensive. I would say anything between 23 and 25k seems reasonable unless you want diamonds. Then add another 1 to 2k
