Rolex gloves!

Went into my AD and was just shooting the bull some this morning. I asked if he had any Rolex polishing cloths, he looked around and then gave me these!

Don't know if these are something they regularly give out or if they are something special

I asked my AD for them and he said no. I bought 3 rolexes from them. So yeah, you got a great AD.

Nice of the AD to hand them out without buying anything from them that day, but certainly not special, or worth much. They are for handling the watches, and really not got for anything else....as in keeping your hands warm.

special gloves for handling a watch.

Shows there is certainly a wide range of how people treat / look at their watches

One of those things for handling the watches and keeping in good shape...and then also to give away to geeks like us who may get excited over it.

Kind of like an MLB player tossing a ball into the stands - his everyday tool he sees plenty of, but big deal to the kid who catches it.

Check out the "Rolex Watch Accessories, Parts & Novelties" section of this Forum and you will find that there are a couple of members who list "swag" like the gloves for an unconscionable fortune. But, more power to them if there are actually people foolish enough to pay what they ask for a "freebie!"

I find them helpful to wear after giving my watch a nice shine when I am going to place it into my (YIKES!) winder. However, if I am putting the watch back on my wrist, it's hardly worth it.

Sounds like you've got a great AD; lucky you!

I saw a post about this the other day and did a Google search.

Found them cheapest on ebay auction for large, brand new.

I used esnipe & won them for sub $20.

Esnipe is a good one. Why get in a bidding war over something when you can use a bot to snag it 6 seconds before the bid ends.

Nice catch!
I always wanted an umbrella but it never happened
On the side note, I have been offered a pair of black ones and I find them good for handling watches without marking the PCL's.
Or to kill time by taking pics jeweler style!

The AD usually gives a gift with a purchase but I've never tried asking for anything when I'm not buying. Very cool!

It was a joke. With the black gloves, the picture looked like a heist in action.

Sky Dweller often splits opinion, but I think that one is a fantastic watch.
