Need some advice re: 474b jubilee removal

Hi everyone,
Hoping someone could offer some advice and experience here. I recently inherited my late father's coveted Rolex, i wish it weren't so due to the circumstances; I would like to continue to wear it however but need some help as the two tone jubilee isn't really my style. I would like to replace the strap with a classy gloss alligator strap but don't know how as the spring bars appear to be inaccessible.

I believe the watch is a year 2000 16233 Rolex Date. It's the 36mm smooth bezel two tone model with a jubilee bracelet and 474b end links. There are no drill holes in the lugs, and with the 474b end links I can't get at the spring bars with a normal spring bar tool. So how does one change the strap?
Any advice would be appreciated.
thanks a tons

If your watch does not have the pierced lugs, and somebody put on endlinks without the springbar slog in the back, you will have to cut the end link off or drill into the back side to be able to access the spring bars.

Do not destroy the bracelet final/attachment link when cutting the endlink.

.

The strange thing, but maybe your chance, is that EL 474b are made for Rolex OP 14233 which is 19mm between lugs.

Your 16233 is 20mm between lugs so you should have 1mm play which is enough to remove the spring bars.
