Brand new 116520 Rolex SS Daytona at MSRP

Should I go for it? All stickers, tags, etc.

I like the new 116500 and am on the list at multiple places for one. However, it doesn't seem like I'll be getting one anytime soon from an AD.

If the asking prices for BNIB ones stay around $14k, then it may be worthwhile to go for this.

Thoughts?

I would go for it if you can get it at MSRP. You either like it a lot or sell it for a profit

Haha the question though is what are people willing to pay. I know people are ASKING $14k, but I don't know how many of those people are sitting with their watches. :)

Is the 116520 really selling above retail?

I would only get it if you want it and would enjoy it.

Go for it if you like it. Wear it until a 116500 is available to you, and decide then what to do...should be easy to flip the 116520 if you need the cash to fund the 116500.

White or black dial? Not that it matters, but I'm curious.

MSRP IS ~ 12.5k so I won't buy the 520 for 14k. Not even the 500c.

I wouldn't buy anything based on what it is (or isn't) fetching on the market. Only if I'm totally in love with it.

It looks like the 500s are already dropping on the gray market. I bet they'll start going for 14k when the new Basel models become the new chase.

MSRP on 116520 is $12,000, a little less than the ceramic.

I bought one for MSRP out the door (7% off) last year to trade. Had been sitting in the case for over 6 months!

Both are great watches but for me personally I like the 116500 more so I would hold out for the 116500 myself.
