Uses for the Sub bezel

Recently joined the Rolex club with a new 114060 which is amazing.😃
Whilst playing with the bezel, I wondered what other uses (other than timing) people had devised? I've just realised that by mentally numbering the bezel from 1-12 (1 being the triangle), I can track a second time zone!! Who need a GMT II? Lol

I use the bezel for keeping track of how long I water my roses in the warm weather. With twenty-two roses at ten minutes each the bezel gets a lot of action on the weekends in the summer.

Congrats! Along with a timer I use mine as a counter such as tracking laps at the gym or other items where I need to keep track numbers.

You can also use any analog watch as a compass (to point north) and the bezel can assist you w this. I don't remember how but google it and you'll easily find it.

Yeah, I found parking meter usage to be the most handy.

Time things all the time. Calling in food, they say 20 minutes, I turn the bezel etc.

I did see something on TRF where a guy commmented that he turns the bezel to point the triangle at the door of a busy mall. That way when he comes out it's pointing towards his car... not a bad idea.

Great watch, enjoy! In my opinion, it might make more sense to mentally number the triangle as 12. But, whatever works for you.

Whenever I get kidnapped and tied up, I use the motorised spinning bezel saw blade function to cut through twine. Have also found the electromagnet complication (click clockwise) handy for bullet deflection and undoing birds' dress zippers..

Do you mean pointing towards the car from the door of the mall?
Interesting.

I use the bezel to make it easier to tell the time. I no longer have to count the dots, ex, 2 dots = 10 after - the bezel shows the 10. This works great up to the 30. After that, I need quick math to tell how much before the hour. Ex, the hand points to the 40, I say 60 minutes - 40 = 20 minutes to the hour. Who needs an Apple Watch with this technology? . :)
