216570 comfort question.
Hi Guys,
For those of you that have the Explorer II and any of the new SubC or GMT's with the maxi case, is the Explorer more comfortable than the SUbC or GMT? , I have no probl with the 42mm size just wondering if this particular model having narrower lugs and flatter back case is more comfortable as a daily wearer that the 6 digits Subs and GMT's. I tried one last week form a friend but he had a Nato strap on it so couldn't get a real feel of the watch with it's bracelet. Thanks, |

I find the case back of the Exp 2 more comfortable. But the Glidelock of the SubC does help get a more exact fit, so very close. The Sub sits higher on your wrist, so the wider lugs don't really come into play.

This pic may help illustrate how the Sub C sits

I agree about the Black Bay vs Sub. I find the Daytona also to be more comfortable than the Rolex divers because of its low profile case back. The Sub case back can dig into your wrist bone if you don't wear it high enough on your wrist and/or it falls on the wrong angle. Thankfully, Rolex helps eliminate some of this issue with the Glidelock

Exp 2 does give you comfortable feeling compared to sub though it is bigger.

Would agree that the Explorer 42mm does sit comfortable but I felt that it sat bigger on the wrist than the SubC. The extra 2mm seemed like more than that when worn. Great watch nonetheless!

The explorer ii is very comfortable. It hugs the wrist just right. Also, the easy link gives you just a bit of play on the days you need it.
