If the Hulk had a Black Ceramic Bezel>>>
Just like the title states !
I might consider it a contender for the future ... I'm not really a green watch fan but with the sunburst green dial changing from hues of black to various shades of green It does intrigue me somewhat .... The thing that really kills it for me is the added green ceramic bezel that I personally think is overkill!!! If it had a black ceramic bezel it might be a little more subtle and appealing ... What do y'all think ? I know some either love or despise the hulk !!!! Maybe with a black ceramic bezel it could be a happy medium? Just like the 50th Anniversary but reversed or even a 50th Anniversary Ceramic bezel with a more subtle green bezel and black dial . Anyone with photo shop , would you be able to conjure up a photo of the hulk with a black ceramic bezel ? I'd love too see what that would look like ... Ok lets hear it... The good , the bad and the ugly.... |

I think it would look better with a black dial and green bezel (like the 16610lv) but I understand that they had to do something different. But it makes you wonder if they got it right the first time and just felt like they HAD to do something different. The hulk is a great watch either way and looks great the way it is.

It's close to impossible to find the ceramic bezel or just the insert for sale. In my 2 year hunt for a LV bezel & insert, i found just 1 and it was sold! You would have to buy both 116610LN and 116610LV and swap the bezels. You would lose the warranty on both of them!
I would buy an LV bezel with insert in a second to put on mine to replicate the 50th anni.

I would buy a 116610 lv with a black bezel in a heartbeat.
I love the dial and agree that the green bezel is overkill. Randy |

That watch above looks great. Black bezel with green sunburst would be even better

Not too much.
Another thing I've heard is that the tone of the Rolex green ceramic is very difficult to get right. Just another selling point for me!

If made by Rolex it would be nice, but a mod to create a model that doesn't exist would make it look fake.

I don't own a submariner date and I'm attracted to the 16610LV and the 116610LV. If the ceramic version had a black dial, I probably would have owned one by now.

Love the watch the way it is. Indoors, the colors are very subtle and conservative. Outdoors, in bright sun the whole watch just pops! Truly unique, and I happen to love wearing mine.

Good news, i'm wearing my LV for St. Patricks day tomorrow and it's NOT too much green.
Sure, I have the LN sub. But this is special. People are scared of the green - flat green in that two tone GMT? Yup, gross. But you can't go wrong in sunburst. |

Well not a hulk or even a sub but the desired colors you seek exist on the GMT.

The LVC is a beautiful watch no doubt. The dial changes colors and the way the light plays off it, just wow. In low light or on overcast days it can look flat as well

I would love it! But doubt it's in the cards anytime soon. I agree with the OP, the all green is a bit much for me, but broken up with some black would be perfect.

OP, if you REALLY wanted the green dial and black bezel, probably could buy both, do the swap, and sell the one with the black dial and green bezel. If you buy used, might not lose too much, but might take some time to find the right buyer willing to buy a modified Rolex. |

I was just thinking about this the other day. What I would do is buy the LV and just swap the movement and dial from my LN with the LV so one would look like the kermit and the other would have, as the OP said, a black bezel and green dial! Killer combos!

Green dial and insert look great against the brushed SS.

I love my Hulk the way it is. The sunburst green dial matches perfectly with the green bezel. It even looks like a Kermit when the dial is viewed at a certain angle during daytime and when viewed at night.

Sound interesting but not very prominant in St. Patrick's day.

To me though the dial looks like a flat green just like the Smurf WG Sub C.... Plus it's in YG PM , so whilst the combo is black and green on the bezel and dial the overall look is quite different.... Black bezel , green Sunburst dial in SS... Not saying the hulk isn't nice in it's current offering, If you love green !!!! But for those of us that prefer a more subtle and subdued look I think the Kermit might have to be it . Though like I mentioned originally A Kermit or vice versa in ceramic with the beefed up case and thicker lugs would be nice to see ... |

Do a search it's been done before, a member had both watches and did a dial swap (actually if memory correct he had the movement swapped)
This is the easiest way but this was back when the ceramic bezel models were relatively new (SS models) so not mainly places worked on them, now the likes of LA watchworks etc are more equipped to remove and fit these bezels/inserts. Funnily enough from the pics I preferred the LV dial with black bezel. I've seen a few 116610LN bezels for sale, think there's one in the FS section now.
