Yes, I will. It is embarrassing not to wear a Rolex at his/her level. I won't want to embarrass him/her.

Probably would depend on what business I was in. If I was a salesperson, I'd wear it in a heartbeat as a reminder to him that if I'm pulling in that much coin for myself, imagine what I'm doing for the company. In most instances I would.

No, absolutely not!
Before I went to work for him / them I was successful. If he can't deal with it that is his own smallness coming to light!

Nope. My boss wears a Fossil and I doubt he's ever even realized what kind of watch I wear.

No I wouldn't hide my watch from my Boss, because if he were my Boss he would be more than capable of buying one, so I would guess he didn't wear one out of choice.
Then again he may be wearing a complicated Patek and then I would feel inadequate |

Definately not its only a watch, and today a Rolex could be bought by most folks if they wanted too.

What...............
Absolutely not.... I can't think of any reason on earth why somebody would do this... Besides, chances are that if he doesn't wear a Rolex or other top-of-the-line watch, he probably doesn't know a Rolex from a Timex...

come on....... we aren't talking about a Breguet, a Patek, or Blanc Pain. Rolexes are a dime a dozen, so wear it!

I wouldn't necessarily "hide" it, but I don't flaunt my GMT IIc either.
I normally wear long sleeve oxfords, and try to be discreet with all individuals. No one at the office has even noticed my watch, nor would they care. I am not the type who would wear an 18K President's DD either. Those kind of guys are always IN YOUR FACE. LOOK AT MY WATCH everybody !!!!! Not for me......... |

No. My boss wears a Rolex so it doesn't really matter. Why hide anyway? Its your money, spend it as you will.

My boss has 6 kids. ( ya think he figured out what causes that?) He certainly has not noticed my Rolex. This crowd would rather have fishing gear, fishing boats, 4 wheelers, Harleys, etc.
I wouldn't sweat wearing your Rolex around the office. If things get too uncomfortable, tellem ya got it from a guy selling'em outa his trunk in an alley. |

No need to hide it, people spend their money on different things, you like watches, simple as that. I'm sure he spends money on things that you wouldn't, he probably is just not passionate about watches like we all are.

hiding your watch from the boss...
It's funny, I asked myself the same thing when I bought my car. I bought a Porsche C2S and was a little concerned but more so from the people that work for me. It makes the "times are tough" speech a little hard to sell...lol.
My boss is just happy that I am enjoying myself...his opinion is that if I'm happy away from work, I'm likely to be happier at work. He has looked at my Rolex too and just doesn't personally see the value in wearing one himself...In his mind, a watch is just to tell time...he's the last one to care about personal material possesions...although he lives in a very nice house. |

Going to look at watches tomorrow. Should I wear pants? |

currently don't have a boss. but if i did have a jealous/envious/vindictave/arsehole for a boss, then i would probably try to stay under his 'rolex radar'.
