My "Paul Newman" has passed on

Paul Newman, the Academy-Award winning superstar who personified cool as an activist, race car driver,
popcorn impresario and the anti-hero of such films as "Hud," "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Color of Money," has died. He was 83.

These e news make me very sad, a giant in every aspect of American life is not with us anymore.

+ May the earth that will cover his body be light.

A great actor and it seems a great man also.

He had a pretty good innings at 83 though.

Also, in true hero form, Paul Newman turned his 120 million dollar salad dressing empire "Paul Newman's Finest" into a charitable trust..

Similar to what Hans Wildorf did with Rolex prior to his death..

He personified the term "Star"

I really dread it when all of the Great (and talented) actors pass way. There are not many left in Hollywood. Sorry to hear of Paul's demise.

A true class act... he will be missed.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26913988/

Quote:
50 years of marriage
Newman sometimes teamed with his wife and fellow Oscar winner, Joanne Woodward, with whom he had one of Hollywood's rare long-term marriages.

"I have steak at home, why go out for hamburger?" Newman told Playboy magazine when asked if he was tempted to stray.

Many of the stars I grew up watching on TV and movies have now passed on. I always get a pang of sorrow hearing about another. Rest in peace Mr. Newman... you did good.
