Due to certain current circumstances I plan on getting rid of BOTH my Rollies....sorry, but it's absolutely unavoidable....I shall be literally left without any watch....might just pick up some cheap SEIKO to tide me over in the meantime....

Actually, I'm going there personally this morning. Need a slight adjustment to the secure fliplock on my Subby...wee bit loose and don't want to try it myself.

Too far apart but that goes for some of the others as well: the Canucks, the cop and the mailman, the backward Welsh coalminer, the pineapple and the Washingtonian.

On another forum I’m a member of (former Unifil), the best April fool's joke was building up. In Lebanon, our vehicles had a special UN license plates. A week ago, an announcement was placed on the forum. Next Saturday, a guy from the Vehicle Department was going to deliver special UN license plates at a diner we get together once in a while. It was the last chance to place an order for a plate. There was even a very official looking letter from the Department of Motor Vehicles that veterans could have there own license plate. Yes, it went very well and orders were pouring in. (The owner of the diner was in on the game).

But yesterday evening a wise guy, and not knowing the meaning of April 1, made a statement that only the Royal Family and Diplomats could have special license plates and all of this was non sense. Boohoohoo, a perfect April fool's joke down the drain.
