Have you got both 39mm Explorers?

Has anyone actually bought both 1st and 2nd gen 214270s? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about owning them both, and if you have any side by side pictures to share that'd be great too

Hi,
I happen to own them side by side. I thought, that I like the "old" one more. Well, the truth is, that I happen to wear the new one most of the time. When I need something else, then I tend to get the Datejust on Jubilee as more formal or my Z - blue Milgaussjust for fun. I think I will sell the old one and get something with the new cal...

Best wishes,

Best wishes,
Thanks. My 1st gen Explorer is my favourite and I fear that if I bought the 2nd gen I'd end up doing what you have. Mind you, that would be better for trading purposes should I ever decide to...

In the UK sourcing the sports models is ridiculously hard. I fear the same will be true of the Explorer. Getting a rhodium OP, on the other hand, is much easier. Hmm...

Sports models are extremely hard to come by in the UK, Rolex in Leeds have a 3/4 month waiting time on ND Sub
