The New 41mm Datejust forgotten already?

Just scanned the threads not many people talking about the Datejust, will it be popular? will it be easy to get hold of? and will it hold its value.

Indeed do you like it, what do you all think

No I commented about it earlier but I don't know what's going on with the Rolex site is not showing all the dial variants so I'm not sure if they are actually limited or the site is just not showing all of them.

An example is with the watc on jubilee and fluted bezel you only have silver, blue and MOP dials yet is you switch to a smooth bezel you only get Rhodium.

No, I think this will be a good seller for Rolex. The DJ has kind of always been like that, you don't read much about, but a ton of people have them.

For good reason.

I filed it under the "oh, and there was some other stuff too" category.

To me, the all SS fluted on Jubilee is the best thing out of this year's Basel.

I really like what they did to the DJ. I think it's a winner.

Does anyone feel the price of the new SS 41 is creeping into a territory where it may no longer make financial sense?

I've been waiting on a Datejust for a year. But now that I see the fluted models at 10k, I'm starting to rethink.

I love the Datejust, to be clear. But at 10k, don't you just "move up" and go Daytona? Or go vintage for 1/3rd the cost?

I don't know. I know all, or most, watches are going north in price. But the 10k barrier seems uncomfortable for a steel DJ...

My two cents.

Rolex's webpage mentions that the case of the new DJ 41 has been "redesigned". Wonder what kind of "redesign" is it. Any more info on this?

What do you think of the DJ41 MOP with diamonds? Maybe a little too much/overkill, but I say that as a recent purchaser of the white dial. :D

It is, it's actually 39.25 mm

I'm really looking forward to it. I hope you can get the blue stick dial with the domed bezel and oyster bracelet. If you can count me in for sure

I'm in on the dj41 eventually when they have more dial options so it looks like it's the skydweller this year and hopes for a rhodium arabic dial next Basel. But dj41 is definitely a good looking piece.

^ This. I want white/ivory with roman on a fluted bezel. Or green.

Is it usual for there to be more options than on the Rolex website? Or do we have to wait?

Good point! I'm between both as well, think both will be big hits. The DJ41 is not controversial and those are the ones that really fire up the threads.

The rhodium on jubilee with smooth bezel is pretty slick.

Comes down to 5k for the movement. I wanted a dj2 blue stick before so it's quite a debate. Looking forward to people's incomings.

I love the ss blue fluted version! Once I convince myself to get a "dressier" Rolex, it'll definitely be the DJ41 in that variation.
