Big Seller, I am suprised!!
Well, went to the Pendulum yesterday, a Chain of High End Watch stores here in Asia. They have 3 Stores here in BAngkok. And also run the Authorized Service Center for most of Reichmont's brands. I had a Panerai in for service 3 weeks that I went to pick up.
Now, the Pendulum carries IWC, Panerai, JLC, Vacheron, Lange, Breitling and Chopard to name a few. But was really suprised talking to the head manager of the Pendulum yesterday to find out their #1 seller and their "Cash Cow" are their Frank Mueller line up of watches!!!! I mean they are nice watches, and very exepensive, but I never imagined that brand would be their biggest seller!!!! They say about 75% of the wathes are Ladies models that are sold. Very interesting. Also picked up a nice copy, that the Pendulum gave me, of Chopard's Special Edition Magazine, called Movement, that covers all of Chopards LUC Manufacturing and many many detailed photos of their watch making plant. Very nice!!!! |

I've heard that Frank Mueller is the #1 watch of choice among millionaires.

Russian millionaires it must be then, because I truly believe that Rolex is the #1 watch brand of 'new' millionairs, but the Russians really love Franck Mueller. There was even a Russian movement scandal that broke through the brand a few years back.

Did some fact checking on the internet...
I got this data from the Luxury Institute (www.luxuryinstitute.com). The survey is called the Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI), which rates top luxury watches in a survey from American Millionaires. Here are the results for the past few years:
2008
2006
