HELP: DDII or DD40
I need HELP deciding between a YG DDII and a DD40. I love the wider bezel on the DDII but like the idea of the ceramic inserts of the DD40. Does anyone have experience with the DDII to a point where they can weigh in on the importance of the new ceramic inserts?

40, the newer movement is great plus i find the visual balance better. The ceramic inserts in the band works wonderfully.

For me it's the 40 all day. The proportions on the 2 just feel 'off'.

I think the proportions of the DD 40 are much better aesthetically (IMO.) Also, those ceramic pins are amazing, especially considering the bracelet size / weight of the DD II, I don't see those bands aging well. |

DD40. Everytime.
The reasons above are right. Proportions are just right. |

Helluva first post dilemma.
Depends on your wrist size. I prefer the 41 and the movement is perfect. Date changes exactly at 12 and winding is excellent. Issue is finding one. |

I chose the DDII. Looks great on a large wrist, ivory concentric dial is killer, and it was a relatively small run which might be good for long term value.

I had a DDII with Dimond dial, but tried the rose gold version yesterday with chocolate dial and I know which I have put a deposit down for. It sis sublime and just dimple gorgeous.

I go with DD and the rational is not size or being discontinued.
It's visability. DD I can get one with fully lumed dial. DD2 you won't see that dial in the dark. Not for me. Day Date 2, the $25,000 watch you take off to go to sleep at night lol. I'll pass. |

I may be bias but I love the DD40. Side by Side, the DD40 just looks so much cleaner

My thoughts: the II is a bit of a bolder, sportier choice, IMO. While the 40 is a little more dressy and conservative. So just depends what look you're going after.

Dd ii
I would go with the day date II. it has more chunk to it, and I personally think the dials and roman numerals are better on the day date II. I'm a pretty big guy tho (over 6 foot, and stacked with muscle), so if you are a 5 foot 1" guy, id prob go for a smaller one.
By the way, I'm pretty sure the DDII has the same ceramic reinforcement of the president bracelet that the DD40 has.. my DDII bracelet used to "squeak" a lot when it was brand new, so I guess that was the sound of the ceramic material in the links?? I think the DDII will hold better value prob.. in the short term, if its in really good condition. |

I prefer the look of the 40. You are just going to have to decide which one you like best. It's all a matter of opinion.
