Sea Dweller Deepsea

Am I right in noticing that the new Deepsea's are starting to come down to a realistic price at or around MSRP?

I see several out there that are coming down daily in price at $500.00 a day.

Anyone got a guess as to what a realistic price is for BNIB and LNIB?

Thanks

US MSRP is $8975. That is the real price, but I am not sure that is realistic

Did that mean they are for free in the middle of next month?

You should be able to get one LNIB for well below retail. If they want more, ignore them...they'll come around in a few months.

I highly doubt 7K by Christmas...
I think it will be discounted like most other Rolex models, not much more if even that much...
I think people are going to be shocked how much the price of the ss sub will go up when they bring out the new model in SS and at that point the SD will be in line with what it is. (yes I know we most likely have 1 or 2 years till we see that Sub)

The new Bracelet is AMAZING and surely adds to the cost as does the cerachrome bezel... That doesn't even take into account the amazing depth rating and technology in the DSSD. The case is also unique to this watch and that adds to the cost as well. The back of the case is part titanium for weight AND due to the fact when it expands with pressure it will restore itself to normal. Is the watch overkill, YES but they made a statement AND they finally made a move to really separate the SD (well DSSD now) from the Sub...

Wait a short while and you'll be able to pick up a DSSD at MSRP or discount at every AD (albeit with the post-increase price).

I think it's reasonable to expect a new Rolex model to sell at MRSP. If there's a premium, I think 5-10%, max. I doubt very much that we'll see a discount, though you never know. The early premia of more than 50% were ridiculous so I'm happy to see sanity prevail now.

SD's sold at discount, so their replacements should as well IMO.

My AD has received 2 so far... I got the first... I understand he has 5-6 people still on the list. Keep in mind there are AD buyers and GM buyers, some never cross the line. When wait lists get met and DSSD's sit in the display case...the BNIB price will fall. I bet you could find one below MSRP if it has a few dings on it. Mine still has most of the plastic on it... If Rolex is smart..they will limit releases like the Daytona. It will keep the price up. Probably take a year to see some bargains.
