Omega to Breitling

Gents,

Recently purchased an Omega Speedmaster racing with the yellow. Spent around $4,700 on the piece and could not stand the watch once it left the store as it pulled the hair in my arm and was very uncomfortable to wear. The Jewler said I could switch it for another omega or a Breitling. I'd really like to stay around the same price...maybe around $5,000. Good options? I currently own a new ceramic sub and a Tag heuer blue regatta.

The watch has to be new as this is an authorized dealer.

Thanks Gents.

It is all a matter of personal preference. Try on different models and see what works for you. Maybe try wearing the bracelet a bit looser.

I like breitling more than omega. I would ask for 30% off any breitling new. I think you could get a really nice breitling for that price. Maybe try to buy a chronomat airborne 44 on a strap. The airborne is recently discontinued but a very nice piece. That should be very close to 4700 and the chronomat is a highly finished piece with an inhouse chronograph movement with 72 hour power reserve with date.

I seem to like the superocean fairly well! Anyone have one?

Keep what you have, buy a nice strap with deployment, put the bracelet up with the box and paperwork........or shave your arm.

To know the future is to be trapped by it

So a super ocean is a lower line of BREITLING vs the chronomat. The rubber bezel is also expensive to fix super ocean heritage is a beautiful watch. I would suggest a chronomat. It's a very highend piece with the inhouse movement and should be at 4700 after 30% off. Avenger II are also nice.

It also will resell better as chronomat is a strong model in BREITLING's lineup.

I personally don't like Omega. No real reason, other than I have never seen anything that I like.

There are a lot of Breitling that are awesome. If you like the Superocean, get it. I loved mine.

I now have an Avenger II Seawolf. If you like the SuperO, it might be worth a look.
