Sold my Exploter II, but it's a good occasion
My cousin, just got out of the military, now works at a UPS store and is a hard-working respectful young gentleman. He has always liked nice watches and several months ago told me had saved up some money to buy a used Rolex; he asked me what he could get for..... $1,200. I tried not to laugh, but was honest about how limited his choices were. He continued to save and fell in love with my 216570 Polar. I was going to hook him up with Tony (JustRolexes) or DavidSW but then had a talk with him. I explained my next Rolex, the SS DJ41 was HOPEFULLY going to be released at Basel, and if so, I would sell him mine. Well.... he watched as intently as I did and was as (more so) excited as I was to see it anounced. Every day he has called and asked if I got it yet (and ready to sell him mine). I thought about it, and decided; there was no need to make Both of us wait for the new model to make it to my AD. So, yesterday, (coincidentally after I had a root canal) I sold him my Polar Ex II... for a RIDICUOSLY cheap price, now all I have to do is wait for my SS DJ41 to come in.
It sucks being Rolex-less-es.... or whatever the word is, but it gave me a good feeling at the same time. He is a good kid, a vet (like myself) and to see the expression he had on his face when it becamse HIS Rolex.... He is going to trreasure it for a long time. It cost me some money.... but what the hell. Today there is a young and happy new WIS wearing his first Rolex and the world (IMHO) is a better place |

Awesomeness... I wouldn't even want to ask the ridiculous price it was sold for.
I can imagine your cousin face when he knew its his. Great gesture. |

Nice gesture Paul. I hope he doesn't flip it anytime soon after your act of selflessness.
