Image of daytona bad? Spiv or Barrow Boy?
Seeing as the Daytona is the most faked watch out there, has the image gone down the drain permanently on them?
Do you immediately think of Spivs and Barrow Boy stock traders when you see somebody wearing one? or think they're a wannabe? Time for Rolex to pull the plug on them? |

As long as I know mine is genuine, and everybody else thinks it's a fake, thats fine with me!

“Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery”. If it is not the best who cares to copy. Have you seen any copy of Timex for sell lately?

99.9% of fake daytonas can be spotted accross the room, if you have done a little research.
Naked man- welcome to TRF my fellow Scot (even though your virtually closer to Norway)

ALthough there are some VERY good reps... The movement with the seconds at 6 o'clock is very poorly replicated. They are legendary for failing within a few months... The result is that most people do not buy this as a REP... Or the get the really cheap one that has the days of the week?? at the 6 o'clock position...
The GEN Daytona is here to stay.....

When I wear any watch that is very popular in general I get the question "It's not real, is it?"
Doesn't matter if it's a Breitling, a Rolex or a Cartier. You want a popular model, deal with the fakes. You want something that no one copies, get a JLC or a Breguet. |

Actually i notice Daytona's on my customers' wrist for obvious reasons... my colleagues do not... its just an elegant watch. Nothing bad to say about it or its image...
A Breitling is much more blingy... |
