Thoughts on Explorer Dial?

So I just got my first Rolex from a member with good feedback. However, after getting a chance to inspect it fully, I noticed that under certain lighting conditions, there seems to be a stain on the dial at the 8:30 position. It is directly over the hour marker in the second picture. This is under a direct LED light. There is also a piece of dust at the 7-minute mark, directly to the right of the second hand in the second picture. What appear to be smudges on the other parts of the dial are just just from the crystal.

In the first picture picture, which is under normal not direct florescent lighting, it become difficult to notice anything.

Thoughts? I'm not planning on flipping the watch, but am concerned with it's resale down the line. Should I return or are these not a big deal?

I appreciate your expertise!

Man, I hate to say it but I think this is fake. The font looks off but I think the biggest giveaway - outside of the flaws you mentioned - is the "placement of the "Swiss Made" at the bottom. All of the Explorer I 14270's I've seen that say "Swiss Made" have it aligned with the top of the second indicators, not the bottom. Same with the 214270s. The only 'Swiss' aligned along the bottom of the marks are the tritium lume indicated dials "T Swiss t>25" or whatever. No expert, just jumped out at me.

Just to add to this, www.watchfinder.co.uk currently have 4 36mm Explorer 1's for sale with "Swiss Made" at the bottom like the OP, also there are 2 currently for sale on this site.

I don't know enough to question the authenticity of the watch from the pictures so will leave it to other, more knowledgeable members of this site.

My advice would be to speak to the seller, if as you save they are members with good feedback they wouldn't want to jeopardize it.

I don't think it's a fake. It serial on rehaust looks good. Code on bracelet also matches. Etching on crystal looks good. I'm not sure what you mean by the "swiss made" placement. All the other Explorer I's have it in the same place.

The imperfections that I pointed out are most likely d/t lubricant or something from last servicing. I also noticed now that there is slight smudge on the inside of the crystal somehow. Again, these only show up at certain angles with bright light. Very hard to show in artificial light. Anyhow, I'm satisfied with the terms the seller and i agreed to. Might just have to do an early service.

Thanks for the feedback all.

It don't agree with the fake remark. Here is mine. As far as a smudge or lint I don't see anything.

I would get it checked.
I can not see the complete rehaut, but something concerns me, might be the photos
