Fat Lady spotted in an elevator

Just got in an elevator and noticed a guy wearing a Coke so i gave him props (remembering the recent thread where most people said that no one notices their watches). He told me that he's had it since '84 and said it still runs like the day he got it. As a newbie, I wasn't aware that Cokes had been first issued that long ago...damn, it made me want one!

Share some pics if you have one of those 16760s...

Love it. The patina adds a lot of character to the ol' fat lady.

The nickname "Sophia Loren" really fits better. The case is not hugely larger than the other GMT's. Just half a mm or so. But, with the thicker lugs it give it a nice voluptuous, more curvy case...See Sophia Loren's (circa 1955) pic above.

I forgot "Fat Lady" was a nickname and came into the thread expecting something entirely different.

Seriously? This has turned into a Sophia Loren thread. Haha

She seems to be doing okay for 82 years old.

Saskmh, cool coincidence! Never would've thought that my random elevator ride earlier this week would turn into an interesting trip down memory lane. Gotta love this forum!
