My 2001 year SS Datejust 16220 Grey Tapestry dial is to be replaced under warranty by my AD, due to the luminous markers & hands no longer glowing as discussed in my previous thread ; (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=49116)
But my AD rang me the other day to say Rolex could no longer supply a Tapestry dial due to the age of the watch, but they could supply a Grey Slate dial instead.
I told him I would have to see the dial first, and I am due to go to the AD on Friday to see it, but I have seen an image of a grey slate dial on the internet and it looks quite plain and dull compared to my Tapestry dial.
Does anyone know if there is any place on the internet that lists the available replacement Datejust dials Rolex supply with images so that I can see if there are any other alternatives to the dial my AD is offering.

Not that I am aware of; but you can check the current Rolex catalog; that might give you an idea (although I do not know if 'current' dials will fit a 16220)

You can have the luminous paint on the markers and hands re-applied. I had it done before and I am happy with the result. Try these guys, they do a good job.

Does anyone know if the dial I have seen on a Datejust 116234 will fit my Datejust 16220,its a Steel and Silver Baton Dial which looks better than the Slate Grey Dial my AD is offering to replace my Tapestry Dial.
What year did the Datejust 116234 come out?
