78360 Bracelet....Variations?

My dad needed to find a bracelet or partial bracelet for a 78360. End links are 558. For a GMT.

I was able to find someone who had just the tapered section of links that he needed. Same 78360 stamped on it.

He's telling me that they look different and are even a different size. A little bigger. And satin on the sides instead of polished.

So, was this the same 78360 but maybe for a Submariner? Or, fake? Waiting for him send me side by side photos.
