Finally got a Cotton Bowl Tudor (and an offer)
Well, after many years of playing with Rolexes, I finally got myself a 1974 7017/0 Cotton Bowl watch. Unlike many other similar watches, this one is a coach's watch, not a player's - about 100 players on a team and only about 10 coaches.
Richard, any comments? Now, As far as I know these watches came with 20mm C&I band (please correct me if I'm wrong). The head I got came on generic Chinese band, so I looked through my junk pile and found an american riveted band - but I cannot find a 20mm from buckle 1969 (as the serial of the watch is 692xxx)!!! found an FB USA buckle, but that's not good enough. **** Therefore, I will trade a sub clasp for a 20 mm C&I clasp dated 1969. not sure if links are allowed, but I found this post from 2009 to be very interesting...https://www.timekeeperforum.com/foru...wl-rolex.6033/ Vlad |
