Ref 6565 Honeycomb 3-6-9
I came across this today?
I have never seen this before and I cannot find any similar reference pictures on it.Seems like the year of 1944. Does anyone has any knowledge on this piece? |

A common dial, I have seen quite a few of them. Pre-explorer. Not 1944. That is when the serial numbers went weird. Looks to be late 1950s. The bracelet and the hands are from the 1970s, hands are probably later service replacements and the bracelet added sometime over its life.
Here is one that Alex Pig had from 1957 in white. You can see the correct style hands on it. https://alexpig.com/products/1957-ro...-explorer-dial

I wouldn't say..."common" ... you'll pay a premium for that dial compared to a gloss or smooth white in the same config. or a honeycomb with out the 3 6 9.
