Tudor with ETA movement, fake?

Hey, I have to buy TUDOR Oyster Prince with self winding movement. The mechanism looks like ETA. Is it fake? Case of this watch looks original (number 782137)
Is it possible that Tudor from this period had this movement? I thought that only submariner could have ETA? Please advise me.

Looks fine to me a large rose Tudor from the 60s and yes they did have ETA movements as with all Tudors from the late 1950s on

the movement looks like an ordinary eta mov't but not for tudor (tudor uses rhodium plating) specially the rotor. the case back nos looks doubtful. anyway just my opinion. can bring to tudor rolex service center to check its authenticity.

...alot of the earliest...

...mvmt's appeared like this. I have a D/D, Jumbo, that has the CORRECT mvmt ref#, and is similiar.

...ETA mvmts were used almost exclusively in the Tudor line-up and STILL are being used.

...HOWEVER, the 9050 ref# denotes either a Ranger case, with a mix-matched dial/mvmt, OR, the correct case and dial with a Ranger case back also mix-matched. It is definitely a FRANKEN watch at best.

Stan.

Quite true the 9050 was used by the Ranger, same case and back for Oyster Prince and date auto. They did the 9050 oyster M/wind 1950s-60s in gold filled case as well as SS.Remember in the1950s right up to the 1960s different countries had slightly different styles dials etc.

IMHO ....

1. It look like a refinished dial as the fonts look different to me .....

2. The fonts of the engravement on the rotor of the movement also look different ....

3. I think 9050 should come with shield logo ....

4. The no. if 78x,xxx which corresponds to around the year of 1972 or 1973 which should come with shield logo as well ....

I might be conservative, but I would rather stay away from this .....

Dragging up an old post as I continue my Oyster search.....

Looks like old serial number 782137 is on the road again, this time as a Red Ranger......and at a reputable auction house methinks....
