When will we see a Day-Date adjustable bracelet

I have been considering purchasing a Day-Date or DDII and one thing that I've been hung up on is that the President bracelet does not have a micro adjustment like all of the other bracelets currently offered from Rolex. I have gotten very accustom to using the adjustments on all of my six digit sport models whether it be the Glidelocks or the micro adjustable clasp of my BLNR. As you guys know, these adjustments are a convenient comfort different times of the day. Even the new Datejust 41's jubilee bracelet has the micro adjustment in the clasp now.

So my question to ponder is when, if ever, will we finally see a presidential bracelet design with some built it micro adjustment? (other than "whenever Rolex decides to")
And to those that currently wear the Day-Date and Day-Date II's is the lack of adjustment more noticeable with the heft of the PM watch and bracelet?

I've worn a DayDate for a very long time and never miss a micro adjustment bracelet. I even prefer the fit of my worn bracelet more than the new ones. I have a new GMT II and a DateJust for comparison.

I can't see it happening as it would ruin the smooth aesthetic on the flagship model, but they should add half links as standard.

Yep...there should be a couple of 1.25 links offered as standard.

Never!! The president bracelet is perfection. You wear it a little bit loose and no problems, at least for me anyway.

I have both sports models and a President, and I have to say that I miss being able to adjust the bracelet on to go. With my other watches, I use this feature
several times a day, but I think the key is that the DD being what it is, Rolex is a bit more cautious changing the design.

If Rolex finds a way to make an easylink with out compromising the design, so hidden, they would incorporate it. But don't see how that can be done on a president.

If they flip the design and have it expandable at the 6 o'clock side hidden underneath the oyster lock clasp could do it. Would still require thicker clasp design.

It's an excellent question. This is the only thing that holds me back from taking the plunge on this reference as my wrists swell like crazy throughout the day depending on temperature and activity.

I seem to recall Mike (Kilyung) posted that Rolex had applied for a patent for an adjustable hidden clasp for the president bracelet .... This was a couple of years back I believe.

Maybe he can chime in.

Why not just do a smaller clasp like the dj 41 jubilee and make it butterfly with an extension hidden. Up the thickness of the president links. Who wouldn't want more gold hehe

I had a 118238 for 2 years and it never quite fit correctly. Loved it and miss it, but I searched high and low for a 1.25 link that I have read existed. For me, this would have been perfect fix. I think/wish Rolex should include one of these with every DD purchase...

They are readily available. I have 2 yg ones from my 118238.

And my AD provided one for my 40DD free of charge.

I have enough watches with and with out micro adjustment. It's a crap shoot if 1 or even 2 half links can get them perfect. What I notice is that I have learned to accept "close to perfect" fit with those models. Models with the easy link and glide lock are "perfection" at any time of day or weight fluctuations.

This is how I feel about the fit of all of my 5 digit references, they have less heft to them compared to the 6 digit sport references and a considerable amount less than any precious metal day date. My concern is does the added weight make the bracelet more comfortable or does it exaggerate the loose fit? And does the lack of adjustment bother any DD40 or DD2 current owners?

I wear my watches on the loose side so the lack of adjustment doesn't bother me. The bracelet itself is very comfortable.

In fact I never adjust my glidelock either, just set it once and it's perfect to me.
