Tudor Spring Bar Size

In short, I bought a black bay blue from a TRF Member which came with Nato and Leather. I recently bought the Tudor OEM bracelet also from an online seller. I tried installing the bracelet for an hour before giving up and heading to the AD. I was told the spring bars were too long and AD couldn't install the bracelet. I've read that the Tudor BB bracelet spring bars are slightly different than the leather and nato bars? Please advise what exact size or spec of spring bar needed for me to use with steel bracelet. When looking at Ofrei, I'm think 1.8mm x 20mm double flange? Please help my frustrated soul. Thank you in advance.

The bracelet uses 20mm from what I recall and the nato/leather uses 22mm. The diameter you need I think is 1.78mm. Now if you can measure the tip of your spring bars and get the correct size tip then you will be good to go.

The 22mm SEL can be tricky to replace on a BB, unless you use the tweezer type of tool, as the SEL is quite thick. Did you try fitting the springbar by itself, just to see if it's the right size? 20mm would be too short.

The BB uses two different spring bars for different straps.

Then what size is the second one? Maybe 21mm?

Just measured and the SEL springbar is a hair under 25mm total, and 23mm from shoulder to shoulder.

So you think it is 23mm and 22mm for the other size? If so that makes sense.

The fabric one is about 1mm longer in total (about 25.5), but the distance between shoulders is the same, 23mm.

My fabric one looks a little different to yours, though.

Edit. Just realised your lower one is prob for leather not fabric.

Strange, I replaced the bracelet on my ETA BBB with a 22mm rallye strap. Used the same spring bars that came with the watch, they fit perfectly. The only problem was removing the bars without the tweezer style spring bar tool, I finally jammed a toothpick into the first hole while I used the spring bar tool on the other side, it worked fine, but was a pain to do. I have never seen anything that says there were different size bars, or is this something that applies to the newer in house movement Black Bay?

Mine are the old ETA. The difference is only very slight.

My AD was adamant the OEM leather strap spring bars were too long for the bracelet install. I know the spring bars fit because I'm currently using the OEM spring bars on leather strap. Therefore, I'm guessing maybe I need a 21mm for bracelet use instead of the 22mm used for the leather and nato.

As mentioned above, my bracelet springbars are just under 25mm total, 23 at the shoulders. Took me a few seconds to remove and replace for measurng.

Shoulder position might be the issue. Maybe try your fabric strap bars on the bracelet as they have similar shoulder positions. Make sure you can see/access the shoulders thru the endlink underside holes before fitting to the watch.

Or just ask your AD to order the correct ones from Tudor.
