Narrowing it down.. SS DaytonaC Black Dial or WG Oysterflex Daytona?
Last week I posted a poll on the 116500LN Black Dial vs. the 116515LN RG Daytona Chocolate Dial on the leather strap, most preferred the 116500LN.
Agreed with with the poll results that the 116500LN was the better watch (at least for me), I could wear it daily here in Hawaii and it was more understated which is important to me. Before I pull the trigger and pay the hefty (but market rate) premium for a BNIB 116500LN (life is short!), I just wanted to circle back to TRF one more time and run another poll on the Black DaytonaC against the White Gold Oysterflex Daytona model (116519LN). There is still a significant price difference between the two even after the SS premium, but all things considered equal, which model do you guys like better? The SS black dial DaytonaC or the WG Oysterflex DaytonaC? Has to be one or the other in my shoes, I've narrowed it down to either pulling the trigger on the SS DaytonaC or waiting a bit and grabbing the WG model later this year either from an AD locally or trusted seller when they start surfacing in the classified ads. I would keep the SS Daytona OEM and wouldn't put an Everest strap or other strap on it most likely. The SS Daytona appeals to me because of how understated/under the radar it "could" (?) be and of course the design is timeless, but I have always enjoyed watches on straps for their comfort and it seems like the WG model could still be a bit under the radar. All opinions welcomed!! Thanks as always. Sammy |
