Swapping Straps?
Hi All, I have a TO Chrono 1461 (https://www.breitling.com/en/models/...echnical-data/) on a mesh bracelet, but I'm looking to swap to a brown croco/leather strap.
I've never done this though, is there anything I need to know? Interhorn width is 22/20 mm- do I need to buy from Breitling? Their strap prices are on the high side- are there third party strap makers you recommend? Basically, any info on this would be helpful as I'm fairly clueless on the subject. |

To start with I would suggest going to Breitling's website and customize your own watch utilizing their "my Breitling made to measure". This will give you an idea of how your watch will look with different Breitling straps. You can go with croc, leather or rubber straps. Then you would need to decide what type of buckle, deployant vs. tang. Then it will be up to you whether to go with Breitling or a multitude of custom or stock strap makers. The internet is your friend when researching strap makers. Go luck in you search, any questions feel free to send me a private message!

I looked tirelessly for a strap for my Navitimer. Price wise, they are expensive - but the quality you get with an authentic Breitling strap is unparalleled in that price range.
If you're in NYC I'd recommend going to the Breitling Boutique and checking them out, and they'll swap/clean for free. |

I own several Breitlings and occasionally play with straps. On the lower end is someone like Waccex.de from Germany which offers good quality of straps, some croc imitation for very reasonable price. Get deployment buckle with it. On the other hand, I have original Breitling straps and they are superior to anything out there. The biggest difference between Breitling straps and third party straps is that they age gracefully. They still look like money after few years. Rubber lining is helpful. Look at authenticwatches.com or eBay for Breitling straps, eBay has few sellers who have been selling online for years, one is from Holland I believe. |

“Their strap prices are on the high side” is no exaggeration. I was pretty upset when my croc wore out after only about two years, but I wore my Navi every day in the Houston environment. I got another one but I wasn’t happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Breitling strap
There are so many makers of straps out there. The most difficult problem I have is finding straps as thick as the Breitlings. The thin ones just don't look right.
Also decide whether you want buckle or deploy. |
