Waltham wrist watch unknown

Today I was given a Waltham wrist watch by a jeweler friend, I've looked for a comparison but unable to find any, it has a gold plated case and what looks like a orange painted dial, has anyone come across this type of Waltham watch before. all and any information will be greatly appreciated, Rgds "H"

I love old Waltham Pocket watches. There is a ton of information available about them on the net. I suggest you open it up and find the serial number. It will tell you a lot.

They made a huge variety of dial types and sizes. They were made in a mill just down the road from me!

Maybe contact these guys: https://vorticwatches.com/

They take pocket watches and case them in wristwatch cases. They rebuild everything and are SUPER knowledgeable about Waltham.

part 2

Attached are photos of the internals of the wrist watch, beautifully acid etched and the balance moves as it should, the serial number is 13058535; I've just learnt the following, the grade is No.110, model 1900, year 1903, 7 jewels, 3/4 split plate, and the hair spring is Breguet.

You don't see gold filled bezels with steel backs until the 1950's, definitely not from the turn of the century. Dial appears newer than that as well. No one was concerned about keeping the watch original back then.
For that matter, people are still recasing pocket watch movements in to wrist watch cases.

The information for the movement is correct, it is the path that movement took after it was made that I was commenting on. Given the date that the movement was manufactured, I am sure it started off as a pocket watch.
At some point it was recased and a different dial was put on the movement.
I would guess that was done in the late 40s early 50s.

Top Fella, and many thanks for this, would you be able to hazard a guess to how much it may be worth, it was given to me and I wouldn't feel comfortable to take something that was of vast value with out making them aware, in addition to this when I have some more time I will photograph my Waltham Hunter Pocket watch, once again Milgauss 88. many thanks for the guidance. Rgds "H"

Minimal value. Probably under 80£.
Can't find a dollar sign on my new phone. Odd.
