Just picked it up

After a one week wait I got a ss daytona at list price

But I did have to pay retail on a ladies 18k

Both watches are lovely and the AD was a pleasure to deal with! He went way beyond what others may have.

28mm. I suggested going for 31, she tried it on but went for the 28.

Congratulations on both OP.

Do you mean to say they would only sell you the Daytona if you bought the PM date just?

Yes exactly that. No discounts now so hard to get watches would only be sold to locals who spend a substantial amount. I was told the rules had changed from a few years ago.

Yes 1 week. A black dial daytona was available the same day.

One can only wonder what would have happened, without the 18k purchase?

Presumably, you'd be legally entitled to return the DJ for a refund within 30 days, UK consumer laws being what they are?

Yes probably but the I would be likely to wake up at night minus my testicles so I would rather not do it.
My wife loves her watch and I want to develop a nice purchasing relationship. We want 3 more 18k pieces so the AD will have made a great decision.

I would have been laughed at probably and told of an 8 year waiting list.
