Help authenticating a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony
Hello one and all! I have finally joined the forum (after many years of reading) because there are so many knowledgable members here, and I hope that one or two of you will be able to help me with identifying/authenticating this nice old watch.
It is a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony that I have recently purchased from a good bricks-and-mortar jewellers, and I don't have any serious doubts about its authenticity, but my level of expertise pales in comparison with many here and I wouldn't necessarily be able to spot if, for instance, the crown or the hands had been replaced. I have owned VCs before and everything about this one looks and feels right to me, but I just wanted to get some more experienced people's opinions on it and ask you whether anything stands out to you as being wrong. I will ask Vacheron to authenticate it themselves when the time comes for its next service, but that could be a few years away, and it would be nice to have a bit of reassurance from the experts in the meantime. Many thanks for your help! |

Cant say for sure but based on the quality of finish, particularly the movement, it looks good to me

You might have better luck at the hour lounge on the VC website.

I've tried joining The Hour Lounge. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get through their registration process! I fill in the form, submit it... and hear nothing from them! I send a quick email to the administrators, saying "I filled in the registration form a few days ago and haven't heard from you yet," and I get no reply from that either! Ah well... the marvels of modern technology, eh? :)
If anyone has an email address for Alex Ghotbi, I'd be very grateful if they could help me get in touch with him. Otherwise I'll just have to wait until it goes in for its first service. On the plus side, it did come with a written guarantee of authenticity from the jeweller's where I bought it, so I'm reasonably safe until then. |
