Rolex ref 6549 questions

I was wondering if anybody could school me on ref 6549 I took a big chance on ebay and got one with horrible pictures and I'm hopping it looks better in person. The research iv done is that it's midsized 30mm, but then iv read that they are ladies watches also so I'm a bit confused. Its got a cal 1130 in it and has a gold engine turned bezel. I'll take pics when I get it today.. any info is appreciated

No it's a mid sized man's watch. It uses a movement ring to make the larger case. Laidies is much smaller.

Well I got it, not very pleased but I don't think I'll loose on it. The dial has been refinished, it runs but needs a mainspring and the rotor is very loose, and the 14k engine turned bezel is pretty worn in spots.. anybody need parts?

I can service it for you. I have about 20 NOS 1120 mainsprings :-)

Something is not right with the rotor. The gib is gone and someone has done something makeshift to fix it.

Needs a case tube as well. I probably have the correct seconds hand NOS also.

I may wait for something better to come along before putting any money into anything. There are lots of things about this watch that I don't like.. the 2 main things are the dial, and the bezel being so worn

In my opinion, it's more of a parts watch

I see what your saying about the clip on the rotor, maybe that's why it's sloppy?

Yes. That is part of the problem. If you look at a 1030 you can see the little 4 sided gib. The 1120-30 uses the same thing only smaller.
