Classic dilemma ;) TT Sub black or blue ??? Need advice...

Hello everyone. I just registered because I'm interested in your thoughts about the TT Sub as guide to the purchase. So there it is, would you rather recommand the TT Sub bluesy or the black one ?

It's kind of like I change my mind every day. First I loved the blue one. I went to the retailer and preferred the black one. Went again, preferred the blue one and now, after a long reflection, I would go black again...what a brain melter...

Well, which one would you advice for everyday and night for a lifetime use ?

I'm 32 years old. A Rolex has been like a lifetime dream but was always far away. Now, all of a sudden, my life is well in order and I can afford ONE.

What would you suggest ?

Thanks in advance for your answer.
Regards
Pascal Swiss

Bluesy. Your next watch can be black in steel.

Yes, a lot of other black dial options so go for the beautiful blue dial.

I say blue, it is a special looking piece, but black is nice and in someways to me more versatile as an everyday. Good luck with your decision.

We cannot decide for you, it's ultimately a matter of taste/preference, so you have to decide.

On a less subjective point, some things you can think about are:
- What other watches you have, how will it match the rotation? For example, if it will be your only watch, Black is more flexible in terms of wardrobe/style it can be used with.
- Price (if there's any difference)
- Market availability/demand (combined with price/availability it might be relevant in the future if you decide to sell it).

Black is a bit boring and common, but it's common for a reason. It's usually more versatile and in many cases, easier to sell faster.

For everyday and night for a lifetime, I'd say this one. Its less "in your face" than the LB in my opinion and goes with everything and any colour in any occasion.

This forum prefers the blue and the sunburst dial is beautiful. I think the black is classier. But that's just me. What matters is what works best for you.

I really kind of fell in love with the blue dial but I feel like the black dial would be the more reasonable option for a one time, life time, acquirement...I would love to have many watches for different occasions but I probably won't be able to afford that...I feel lucky enough to be able to purchase one...I know that there are many black dial options out but still, it's a sub, it's also history...It's such a hard decision to take as they cost, at least for me, a very big amount of money...

I am partial to the black dial, due to my age and personality. But these pics really hit the point home! It's a beautiful watch.

Always pick the one you love more, in your case the blue dial. It will work just fine in any occasion, even if less versatile than the black; don't deny yourself the beauty of the blue dial due to silly guidelines of wearability, especially since it will be your one and only.

If it is going to be a one an only, nothing wrong with the black dial as it is more versatile. You can always change later. Good luck.

I say go with the Blusey. Last week I was in Florida scuba diving with mine and this week I've been in Aspen mountain biking and hanging out. Works great at the beach and mountains!

Hi Pascal, yes the black one.

I had the choice of both blue and black, but for me there was no question. I've always had a soft spot for the TT sub with the black dial.

If you are thinking black only because it is more versatile and you really want the blue, go blue. If you love both equally but just can't decide, then I would say go with the black as an only watch

Personal preference, but I don't care much for the look of black and gold the way it's done on the Sub. Maybe on a formal dress watch, perhaps. I'd go with blue, but that's just me. Maybe black sings to you, as it probably does if you're asking.

The blue is in my opinion the best looking of the two. Get the one you like the most.

Hi everyone

I'm so glad I registred to this forum. All of you are very nice, elegant and educated men. I just got a question for those who have the TT sub with the blue dial. Are you feeling comfortable wearing it. I'm from Switzerland and have a military education. I don't know how I would feel over time wearing the blue dial...like the effect on other people. Will they stare at it a lot or does it just flies by ? I like discretion. Might the bluesy be too much for me to handle ?

If your heart loves the Blue but your brain thinks the Black is more suitable - I will bet within 6 months you will be swapping the black for the blue and at the same time taking a few grand hit because of this.

Better just to get the one your heart desires in the first place. It will save you money especially if you say getting one already is a lot of money you dont want to be wasting money swapping in the future.

Its happened to me and many others on here - trust us. LOL

Hi there

I it's a very hard decision to take. I'm from Switzerland and have a military education so I'm used to less bright colors...but I do like the blue a lot. I never had a this shiny watch. To those of you who have it. Is it a comfortable wear or does it attracts a lot of attention I wonder ? I wouldn't feel comfortable with everybody staring at my watch...

share with you my experience.
i love the blue, it's really nice.
bought it.
ended up finding it way too blink for an everyday watch after a few months.
and sold it though i love it because it's just not for me.

for everyday, go for the black.
there's a reasons why the blue moves slower.

lol I fear to go for the black and regret the blue and vice versa lol
Tough one.
Oh my, I'd love to get both but that won't be possible. I have other responsibilities and priorities...A choice has to be made ;-)
