Wife watch reccomendation

Looking to get my wife a rolex, I own a 114060 and its huge on her, she needs something small, like 27mm ish. Needs something subtle that she never has to take off, beach, shower ect.

ideas?

Have a look at the Rolex line up.
Then ask her what she likes.
Finally have her try some on for size and take a wad of cash with you.

Go for the 31mm Date-Just TwoTone Rose Gold and Stainless steel with chocolate dial and diamond bezel, it would be perfect.

How about a Tudor Lady-Sub (left)? About 28mm, yet rated to 200 metres and versatile. You can find them for less than $1,000. Or the similar 33mm Mini-Sub (centre)?

Pic from the Web...

My wife likes larger watches, but the 34mm OP is large enough and small enough at the same time. She wears it everywhere, for what it's worth. I recommend a trip to the dealer to decide what your side prefers.

Half the fun is shopping for most ladies. Here you go hun . . . Blank check, get what you want.

She will probably get a quartz Tag and then you can just be happy for her!

Random good choice -- steel 31mm dj, meteorite dial, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet.

My wife has a MOP and diamond dial 29mm Yachtmaster. Great watch and looks great and not your typical datejust.

Ref numbers are 96090 (steel) and 96093 (two tone) if you want to look for one online.

I gifted my wife with a 26mm 179174, fluted bezel, black roman dial with the jubilee a while back. She absolutely loves it... I believe it's discontinued now but IMO, amazing movement, classic look, and an all around beautiful watch. My wife likes watches that fit like jewelry and didn't want anything larger or bulky. PS - She picked it out.

I second this. 36mm DJ on oyster bracelet with PCL & smooth bezel, maybe rhodium romans dial or a different romans dial would be my vote! In any case very cool to get your wife this type of gift

Woah, in finding a lot of used watches have aftermarket dials too, which I don't like

Ann wears a TT DJ, flutted bezel, white dial with romans. I think it is one of the smaller sizes. 28mm???. In any case she loves it and is rarely off her wrist.

I bought my wife a reverso and she loves it. Then I got her a 26mm datejust and she hasn't taken it off her wrist. But I let her pick it out and she had very specific wants. Had I picked it out for her, I would have been wrong. Since she already opened up with the I'm not a gold girl comment, keep working on her. Show her some more pics on the web of watches you find and see if she makes any comments.

Yes, my partner has just got the 34mm...olive green dial. She is quite petite but it looks really good on her. Mind you, she is a bit puzzled by the screw-down crown.....

Good advice! Same with my wife. It took three or four visits to the AD before SHE was happy with the combination of size; dial; metal; bracelet; bezel.

Dangerous territory to even think what a woman might like... apart from when choosing flowers!

My wife likes larger watches too and found the 31mm DJ to be perfect for her. She has a two tone with diamonds around the face, diamond number markers and jubilee bracelet. She wears it almost constantly.

Definitely take her watch shopping with you.

What's a good place to look for those? I would love to get my wife a Tudor mini sub.

Ebay?

Exactly the same scenario for my wife. She has the DJ 31. Oyster Bracelet. Domed Bezel. Silver Stick Dial. Subtle and looks great. Check it out.

Why all the recommendations for a 36 mm dj when the op says he needs something small around 27mm?
