Parmigiani Tonda 39 Quality Fleurier OR ROUG

This is one of the best dress watches I’ve ever owned. The quality of the piece is rivaled by very few Swiss watchmakers.

If you are not familiar with Parmigiani, they were founded as a company in 1996 by the Swiss Sandoz Foundation. Between 2000 and 2005, Sandoz acquired five established companies including an escapement manufacturer, a small parts manufacturer, a dial manufacturer, a case manufacturer, and a movement and final assembly manufacturer and put them together under the Parmigiani banner. These companies all made parts for many high-end watchmakers representing some very well know name brands, and collectively have a huge amount of experience in the high-end segment of the Swiss watch industry.

This is also one of a small group of watches that are certified by the Fleurier Quality Foundation. The FQF provides a service similar to the COSC, but goes much further, including a test when the movement is cased that mimics human movement by computer simulation. If you are not familiar with their work, do a search on them.
  • Reference: PFC222-1602400
  • Case: 39mm x 46.5mm x 9mm thick, 18K Red Gold
  • Movement: Parmigiani PF-331QF (base Vaucher) Quality Fleurier Foundation certified
  • Dial: White lacquered with Superluminova filled hands
  • Strap: Hermes dark brown alligator, 22mm x 20mm interhorn width
  • Buckle: 18K Red Gold Deployant (an expensive upgrade)
  • Condition: Like new with only very fine micro-swirls on the case from minor wear that are unseen by the naked eye. Strap shows almost no wear with minor distortion in only one hole.
  • Warranty: Purchased from an authorized U.S. dealer and under factory warranty until the end of June 2019.
  • Packaging: Parmigiani’s signature leather travel case, which features room for two watches, or one compartment can be filled with the small leather cases designed to carry cufflinks or other small jewelry items. Warranty card, instruction booklet, and Quality Foundation Fleurier certification sheet.
  • MSRP: $20,500 plus $1,200 for the deployant buckle.
I am asking $9,750.00 inclusive of FedEx next day shipping and insurance and PayPal fees. Sales within the U.S. only please. Payment via PayPal.

Hermes owned a percentage of the movement maker Vaucher prior to its acquisition by Sandoz and kept that interest post sale. So all of Parmigiani’s leather strap are made by Hermes.
