Feeling Naked
My 2003 14060M is currently in the competent hands of Vanessa for a service . The hair spring was off-center and had a beat error of 2.7ms. Might as well have it overhauled while its there.
Its a watch that I wear all the time. I almost forgot that I sent it to her this morning when I went to go put it on. I feel naked today without it. It is going to be a long 2 more weeks until I get it back. I feel like im cheating on my favorite watch when I put another one from my collection on my wrist. Anyone else get the same feeling when your favorite watch is out for service?

I think I saw your off-center hairspring on Vanessa's IG feed.
My 14060 was at RSC for service for about six weeks, I was counting down the days until I got it back. I know how you feel. That was when I decided that I needed to buy a lot more watches. |

I am actually in the process of searching for a nice dress watch. I think my sight is set on a blue dial Nomos worldtimer. I just missed one in the classifieds a few days ago. Its a beautiful dial!

I haven't forgotten to put on a watch in years, but as I don't carry my phone when I don't really have to, I would feel very naked without it.

I hope you get it back very soon. I can't relate as I don't really have a favourite.
My watches are like children, I love them all, it's just sometimes I'd rather spend more time with one, than the others |

Yes very common feeling haha! Just don't fall in love with another watch while she is gone.

I know the feeling. My 14060 was out for Service for three weeks at Official Time Watch. I felt completely naked. Even though I could of worn my GMT or DJ, the no date Sub is my favorite and I missed it everyday until it's return!

My grail watch, a 16710 Pepsi, is in for service. I'm making due in the mean time with my Omega Speedmaster. Always have a backup. Takes a little of the sting away.

I was getting antsy waiting for the service and found a NOS blue at a great price. Should be here in a few days.

I totally missed my 14060M when it was away for a service, it was at RSC for 3 and a half weeks....it was running +9 seconds per day before it went, it's now running +2 per day and looks beautiful.....Defo worth the wait, but I felt lost when it was away....I understand your pain

Vanessa, the substitute arrived today. This thing is gorgeous! But tell my sub that he is still #1 and not to be jealous of the Nomos. Do your best ; )

My beloved 14060M has been returned. It looks great and the scope numbers are near perfect. Thank you Vanessa for keeping me informed throughout the entire process, you rock!

I also felt like that when I sent my watch for service. Right now, the waiting for a service in Germany (sending it to Rolex via an AD) is between 4-5 months.
I was told that this is because of a growing number of watches that have to be serviced combined with many watchmakers retiring or about to retire. Is it the same in your place? Best regards, Mr. Gonzalez |
