No love for the new 44 CE?

I only see one on TRF every blue moon. Can you owners out there post some pictures?

I might be adding one soon and could use some enablement. Thanks!

Surely is stunning

I just tried it on recently and have been losing sleep over it. The only reason I didn't buy it uptill now is I can't find any discount from anywhere and I rather wait for a bit to get a good deal but will surely add at some point and prefer to the TI 44.

i love it, but just can't justify having all 3 new 44's

For an all black watch its my favorite (minus the ce diver). I used to think the old anthracite ceramic version was my favorite black 44 but now i think its the new one.

It's 10k less than the previous model, wouldn't expect a good discount, if any...

especially if they move it to boutique only which i have heard from more than one person. Low production numbers makes supplying all AD's impractical.

And yes, the new price point is already the discount IMO.

I've never seen one, but I hear it's often asked after at ADs. I do like the anthracite dial more in pic comparisons altho I guess the new Ti has more that set up now.

I read somewhere that production a year for the 44mm's goes something like this:

RG 1500
Ti 1000
CE 500

I'm not sure how credible the source is, but the general idea being that there is a lot less made, driving the price to hold/sold at a premium. It's a gorgeous piece but at a premium I would rather dish out a bit more for the RG 44, which is what I did.

That's exactly why I got the anthracite. Can be had for the same price as the new dial but much prefer the anthracite dial to break up a dark watch.

I visited the AP of Beverly Hills earlier today, and they did not have the new ceramic model, and also stated that they wouldn’t receive one for at least 7 months. They did have the anthracite ceramic model, as well as the old and new RG 44s. The new Ti 44 model was also sold out.

Snap

Shame they are so thin on the ground, did enquire about the possibility of having the black dial retrofitted to a new Ce, AP novice at the time and got the obvious reply ‘no’

there is no way the Ti is made in less numbers than the RG. I see Ti at AD's all the time while the RG is hard to find. Im not sure on actual numbers but I'm pretty sure its: Ti, RG, CE in order of highest production to lowest.

Plus you can extrapolate demand which is related to production on the forum. There are way more Ti's here than any other new release 44. There are less RG and just a couple CE's.

I’ve seen them numbers mentioned before (might be the same source) at the time it was early in the models supply so didn’t really have an opinion but how given what I’ve seen I agree and doubt it’s correct.

As long as its not a LE, personally i don't care what the production numbers are as if you want one you will get one. None are impossible to get, even the CE. Least produced vs most produced doesn't have any affect on me as far as making one more desirable than the other. They are all rare if you really think about it as its not a SS submariner.

My AD got the RG a few months before their first Ti so yes those were slower to hit AD's. Now though they seem easier to find than the RG.

Limited edition Vs limited production

I’m not fussed it’s just nice to know they are not knocked out in Rolex numbers.

Thanks for the feedback.

I still don't see any owner here? Is it really for lack of supply?

Mine is arriving to AD this week. I think I'll go ahead and get it.

the only members here i know of are in asia there are a handful. there was one from the US too i think. No idea why the supply distribution is like that.

I heard from AP that they are "thinking" of making it a boutique piece due to supply but for sure they are supplying boutiques first so that in effect makes it boutique only in most markets. They weren't trying to sell me one either, just conversation. Pretty sure Ash got the same hint as well at a different AP event.

id snap that summer edition up sooner rather than later. That one won't be available much longer. From an AD at least

good luck on whichever you choose

I already have two rose gold I want something more practical for daily wear. The 44 is a bit heavy and 42 bezel I have to be really careful. Either I can sell the 42 and add the summer edition or I can just buy the CE44 in that price difference amount. My logic says three APs are better than two hahha also heard from credible sources definitely new offshore releases on the 25th Anniversary year probably SIHH 2018 with my experience and spending a fortune on this most absorbing obsession and passion we all share is to wait and be patient in whatever you want to get. Cheers anyways!

You think there will be interesting offshore in SIHH 2018? Should I hold off this purchase?

I don’t think there will be any new 44’s personally unless they did a special edition of some sort again. I think there will be perhaps an interesting 42 ROO and perhaps a ceramic RO. I would not wait and think the newest 44’s are all pretty amazing. They are all hard to beat! So if you can get one go for it. They are getting harder to come by here in the US and imagine it’s that way everywhere.

Looks like the rose colour on the dial is the same as on the RG, so not for me.

I agree, the 44s have had a big year so next up should be the 42s. I don't think they will acquire a ceramic bezel but then as the 44s are a rip roaring success the 42s may now need one to compete.
