Has anyone actually managed to strip out the screw down crown on their Rolex? I've heard it's possible, but how would you even be able to do this? Just curious.

Never done it, but have always been advised to turn it back one turn to let the thread engage, then screw it up...prevents any accidental cross threading.

My understanding is that this is almost impossible to do

If this was a issue i am sure we would have seen posts on this as a problem.
