Rolex Yacht Master 116655 Rose Gold

Anyone else find this piece incredible? I desperately want to add this to the collection but I will need some serious enabling to justify the rubber strap with the price tag it has. Am I being petty or do others feel the same?

Would love to hear feedback from other Rolex enthusiasts.

I think it is a great watch but agree it’s pricey for a rubber strap. Trusted sellers may offer a better price, never really looked at them for this piece. An AD might be willing to negotiate, I’d think the SS rhodium an SS blue are the in demand YM’s at half the cost.

It is a beautiful watch. But a little too expensive. I also wonder about the bracelet. I personally prefer to get a steel/metal bracelet and go get an aftermarket rubber bracelet.

Seems like you both have the same issue with the rubber. I purchased the solid gold gmt and smurf ceramics for not too much more than asking for this. I did see a photo somewhere that had a gold bracelet on it and it sure was incredible looking.

The biggest attraction for me I believe is the black ceramic bezel.

It is a really sharp watch if you got the skin tone to match IMO.

Around 18k-22k from a trusted seller is what I have encountered..

You can go solid gold for around that price which is the biggest issue that I am having. Why do these watch companies insist on torturing us

Agreed.. 18k yellow would be my preference over the rose for a sports piece as well.

Is there a solid gold piece that you would like better?

I absolutely love this watch, and as I understand it, the bracelet isn't actually rubber, but instead is elastomer. I have zero issues with the bracelet, and instead wish the watch were a little larger ... maybe 42 or 43 mm. Either way, I plan to add this beauty to my collection. I think given some time, you can get this one from a trusted seller in the next 6-18 months in the high 15k to low 16k range.

It is a watch that looks so much better in person than photos. I have tried it on numerous times. I've been close to getting it numerous times.

I own it. Got it from a trusted seller. Way better in the flesh. Most who see it can’t believe how classy and beautiful it is. My 2 cents, go for it. It is an incredible piece.

This one does nothing for me personally AND its pretty steep for a rubber strap. NOW, the new WG Daytona is a different story....

I do have the solid yellow gold versions Gmt, Sub, and the Smurf which is my problem I suppose. The price seems off to me but I am going to probably going to pick one up. The addiction will set in eventually.

I said the same thing... If it were 42mm it would be an absolute no brainer for me and I am guessing that would make your mind up fairly quick as well.

I actually picked up the AP 44mm in rose tonight thanks to Pat (OcRolexGuy). Counting the seconds until Fedex arrives...

Tyler the AP enabler had his hand in this..

I feel the same way as the OP. Too much money for not enough gold.

I'm in the "it's definitely worth the money" side of this argument. I picked one up last October and couldn't be happier with it. It is by far my most comfortable Rolex.

this is the most comfortable watch I've ever put on my wrist. I love big watches, PAM 422, AP 26405, etc. so it was a surprise to me that the 40mm fits that well on me. I got mine around 20K, and I think the price is more than fair.

what's the best skin tone for rose gold? This one is unique compared to other Rolex RG pieces because of the matte black bezel and rubber strap. Compared to the all RG pieces, my guess is that it's probably more versatile for a variety of skin tones.

It's a beautiful watch & if cash isn't a problem then go for it. IMO I couldn't justify spending that kind of money for a watch with a rubber strap.

To my eye, in general, I think yellow gold looks better on darker skin tones and rose gold on fairer skin.

I’ve loved this watch since I first saw it. I wish it came with the Oysterflex and a RG bracelet, understanding that it would cost more. I have an Everest band that I rotate thru on my watches but inevitably end up switching back to the bracelet after a few months. I worry I would tire of the Oysterflex.

I love everest, but I don't think the Everest would work on this piece. Not 100% sure. Maybe someone else can confirm.

I'm all for mixing it up though :)
