Tudor Black Bay Bronze Left-Hand got me thinking..

So Tudor just announced that a unique, left handed black bay bronze will be auctioned at only watch...

When looking at the picture, this got me thinking... wouldn't you just be able to make any Black Bay (Except those with a date) into a left-hand Black Bay by simply opening up the watch and installing the dial upside down and changing the direction of the bracelet/strap?

I mean, what would prevent the dial from being installed this way ... Sure the bezel timing ring would not lock at 12 o clock but who cares...

Just a thought !

I’d imagine the ancor points of the dial wouldn’t necessarily line up. They are generally located where the movement architecture allows and not necessarily inversible. Oh, and the fact that you’d ruin the value. But otherwise, why not.

On the ETA versions you certainly can. The dial feet are at exactly 180 degrees.

On the MT movement I have no idea where the dial feet are located.

In any case it seems a pretty boring and unoriginal offering for the one-watch auction.

I like that color combo. if only the bronze BB weren't so clunky.

I love that watch! If it weren's out of my league, I would totally bid at Only Watch for this. This is the only version that I find better than my Blue Bucherer Edition. Not only is the color great (seems green is the new trend, tons of Greens coming out just recently), but it's a LHD! I want a LHD!! (no, not the Pelagos).
