Help with a broken crown on super Jubilee

Hoping I can get some responses and help from the experts on the forum, I have a super Jubilee that some of y’all have seen the crown broke off the clasp, I have a local jeweler who says they can laser weld it back on there, would you recommend this? Thank you in advance for any help you may provide. I just hate to send back in to Rolex and be without for such a long time

It’s far from a daily wearer, it’s a SJ 63200 I purchased from a trusted seller here years ago, I swap it out on my GMT IIc from time to time

I think that this would be the smartest choice.

x2

You could always take it to a RSC and they could sent it away to be fixed.

They probably force you to buy a new one as Rolex is not in the repairing business but more into replacing ...

Yeah they would most likely make you replace the clasp.

X2. Rolex does not fix things like this. They only replace with new, and at a big price tag.

I'd probably just get it welded back on myself......

Happened to me, I think that particular version had a build defect. Laser weld... cheap easy and great fix. You will not be able to tell.

Jmed - did this hold up? I just had mine done as well, but the jeweler wasn't confident it would hold forever.
