Burglary, Rolex Stolen

Hello all,

I came back to a burgled house yesterday evening. I live in Great Horkesley, Essex, UK.

Neither I or my girlfriend were home, but I have had two Rolex stolen.

Submariner Hulk 116610lv serial number 24v28051

Milgauss 116400gv serial number p49511w7

Police have been. Suffice to say I am gutted, I was wearing my Omega during the day, and they left my Brietling Navitimer, which was right next to the two Rolex.

I still have boxes, all paperwork, and warranty cards.

Does anyone know how I register this with Rolex?

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Register it with the RSC in the Uk and when you register it stolen it is best to provide a copy of the police report.

That is terrible.

I used to put my rolex in a coat pocket in my closet when not wearing. That way they don't see it out on a counter or in a drawer where they usually look.

So sorry about what happened. Hope you have insurance to cover some of the loss.
one the side note: They did not even bother to take the Breitling?!

Sorry to hear that. On the contrary I would argue the scum has bad taste. Navitimer is an absolute classic.

The police in the UK have a register/database of stolen goods including serial numbers (be it a watch or TV).

That's how I managed to get my stolen Exp I back when a scrote tried to sell it at a jewellers...

The British judicial system call it a crime against property but it's much worse than that. It's not even the burglary that causes the most grief, it's sorting all the sh*t out afterwards. Believe me OP, I feel your pain and am truly sorry this has happened. I do hope you get your property back and the felon has something decidedly nasty happen to him!

That really sucks! I hate thieves so much...all my life watched my hard working parents earn and save $$$ for our family to live comfortably...had a few break ins at home about 5X (in 26 years)...at 8 years old seen my disabled dad mugged by two young hoodlums...seen my mom's purse snatched by kid on a bicycle...as I got older, got most of my cars broken into...got motorcycle stolen, even two helmets stolen...all because someone thinks to take the easy way out of life and STEAL...
oh I suppose the thieves are saying "hey my job is dangerous, every time I break into another persons house I am risking my life!"...(sarcasm!)
When caught, jail needs to be the worst place to go...bring back the chain gangs, hard labor or gulag!!!

Hope you get your stuff back!

Really sorry to hear that ,& if insured will be replaced . There are some real Low life in this world . The best part of it is , they will probably sell on for no money in reality, as its usually to fund their habit .Hopefully they will get caught soon ,but the chances of recovering your watches will be pretty slim unfortunately .

I'll make my team aware of the serial numbers and keep an eye out for you (big UK pawnbrokers).

Can you post the crime ref # in case we get them come in one of our doors?

Sorry to hear you're going through this. I experienced the same violation 6 months ago. They took approx $22K in property (incl an Omega Speedy), 4 cooked fish fingers and half a punnet of strawberries from the fridge.
In a sense I fell lucky as they didn't trash the place. Worst aspect was the intrusion and the sense of vulnerability. Wasn't there when it happened but sometimes the what ifs can be quite devastating.
I've installed an alarm system and cameras inside and out to avoid a repetition.
GL recovering your items. Several of mine turned up in local pawn shops a day or 2 later. The police traced them through the serial numbers. Always good to keep photographic records, invoices and receipts for situations like this. Makes the claims process a LOT smoother.
