Fair Price for an OysterQuartz?
I was recently offered a TT Mens OysterQuartz for $1500. It's a model 17013 Oysterquartz Datejust and the owner says it is from 2000 or 2001, and is one of the last of these watches. It has a champagne dial with baton markers and is in good condition. I know that the total production numbers were relatively low before Rolex pulled the plug. I think that the case and bracelet are Rolex looking yet unique and modern in appearance. These watches originally sold for $5050.

it has box, papers, tags and booklets. And in good condition, then that is a good deal.

I think that there is renewed interest in the Oysterquartz. I also expect to see it become more collectible as time goes by.
If the watch is all original, in good condition... I would spend that much to add one to my collection at this point in time..

I have several odd electric watches - Hamiltons, Accutrons, Pulsar and Omegas and they have all appreciated over time. The Omega megaquartz is worth several thousand $$. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it is complete.

Well there are a lot of factors involved. I am sure there is a reason why it was $150. Then there is the issue of the seller not knowing what he was selling. So if he sells it cheap that certainly is not a reflection of the watch's market value. Same for condition and what was included with the watch. A parts watch would sell for that amount.
