WG Daytona 116509 - look legit?
Does this look legit to you?
Hadnt asked the seller what the source of that staining under the sticker below the bezel is from. credit card warranty and box look period correct for a z serial. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MINT-CONDIT...-/152779426198 |

SOLD - did you buy it?
I personally would want to see a photo of the back lugs and a clear photo of the crown What is that rust on bottom lug (last 2 photos)? Gold does not rust! Dial/Rehaut photos USELESS The only good thing is serial number does not come up as fake! A

This looks fake to me. The Rolex coronet is off just a tad. Also, the bezel numbers look simply printed rather than etched. See the gen below for comparison.

My biggest concern . . .
. . . is that the seller has zero feed-back as a seller.
The feed-back number of 184 seems acceptable, but you have no idea what he'd be like as a seller. For a person to offer a solid white gold Daytona as a first sale item smells to me. It is a lot easier to find another watch than it is to recover money that's been scammed. Run away . . . |

UPDATE: So I responded to the "seller" and told him I would be interested at my max bid of $13,000...next day, he says he's good with that (LOL!) and asks me for my email so he can send me an invoice via paypal. I said great, before we move forward tell me what the stain on the endlink was, and send me a couple pics of the back lugs...haven't heard back since. |
